Ayatollah Khamenei: US always the loser in face-off with Iran
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says a face-off has been going on between the US and Iran for the past 40 years, in which the United States has always been the loser.
His remarks in Tehran on Saturday came a day after the Trump administration decided to reinstate all US sanctions on Iran removed under the 2015 nuclear deal.
US Police officers and university administrators have clashed with pro-Palestinian protesters on a growing number of college campuses in recent weeks, arresting students, removing encampments and threatening academic consequences. More than 2,300 people have been arrested or detained on campuses across the country.
Student protests in US universities continue despite harsh crackdown, as police forces arrested 25 protesters at the University of Virginia and around 50 others at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago under the pretext of standing against unlawful protests.
Cindy Sheehan, American activist, believes that “there is a general crackdown in all levels of society here in the US against free speech if we are critical of Israel.”
