According to Lebanon’s Al-Ahed news network, Sheikh Naim Qassem released a message marking the 40th day of Ayatollah Khamenei’s martyrdom.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n He noted that the martyred Leader inspired the resistance to support Palestine and liberate the occupied territories. Sheikh Qassem emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei championed scientific progress, self-sufficiency, and absolute independence from both the East and West.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n He also stated that the US and Israeli enemies assassinated the Leader to break the Iranian nation’s will, but Iran’s people, military, and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) stood firm.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n The secretary general of Hezbollah highlighted the successful appointment of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei as the new Leader.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n Under the new Leader’s guidance, he noted, the Islamic Republic healed its wounds, stabilized the field, and thwarted the enemy’s objectives, ultimately forcing them to the negotiating table under Iran’s terms.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n Reaffirming Hezbollah’s allegiance, Sheikh Qassem stated that the resistance movement strongly believes in this leadership lineage.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n He concluded that Hezbollah, having sacrificed great figures like Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, will continue its path of resilience, vowing that the Israeli regime will never achieve its goals or settle in southern Lebanon.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n <\/p>\r\n\r\n Tensions escalated after a joint US‑Israeli invasion of Iran on February 28, 2026 amidst indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington. On the first day of aggression, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, along with a number of senior commanders, as well as hundreds of civilians, including school children were martyred.
