Khaled Mashaal: Gaza won the war
Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Mashaal reaffirmed on Wednesday that Gaza won the war against 'Israel' and the Zionist enemy was the loser of the battle.
In a televised speech, Khaled Mashaal said the enemy could not gain any of its political or military goals.
The Zionist regime was forced to announce ceasefire unilateraly after facing resistance of Gaza, he said adding, "It was a great victory for Hamas."
"The enemy's officials satged the war to end the ruling of Hamas and stop rocket firings into their towns. But Gazans resisted and missile attacks continued."
He described Hamas' victory in the 22-day war as a turning point in the Israel-Palestine conflict and said, "It was the first real war the Palestinian nation won in its motherland."
"Israel is defeated; the only success that it achieved was to kill innocent Palestinians and destroy houses and mosques."
Hamas is determined to rebuild Gaza, he said, adding that world donations should not be handed to corrupt people.
"The Gaza war is a prelude to final victory. But we are faced with two other battles, removing the Gaza siege and reopening all crossings especially the Rafah crossing," Mashaal noted.
He also called on the Arab countries as well as other world countirs to sue Zionist regime's officials on charges of war crimes.
