Palestinians protest at Rafah crossing

Hundreds of Palestinians and Gaza-based government, Hamas, supporters protested near the Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip on Sunday morning.

The demonstrators, including Palestinian Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Ahmad Bahar, called upon Egypt to open the crossing.

In the past few days, six Palestinians have died because they were not able to cross the border and receive medical treatment.

Death toll in Gaza since last year has reached 223 due to the ongoing Israeli siege on the Coastal Region.
