Hezbollah: Operation Al-Aqsa Flood Changed Regional Dynamics; The Resistance Stands Firm
On the third anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, Lebanon's Hezbollah issued a statement emphasizing that, despite all its tactical successes, the Zionist enemy remains mired in a quagmire of failure, while the Resistance continues on its path.
On Wednesday, marking the third anniversary of the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, Lebanon's Hezbollah issued a statement declaring that, three years later, while debates regarding the narratives of the operation persist, it has become evident to all that the Zionist enemy failed to achieve its objectives.
An Act That Brought the Palestinian Cause Back to the World's Forefront
The statement reads: Three years have passed since October 7, 2023—a day that shook the world and once again reminded everyone of the Palestinian cause; a cause that arrogant powers and their accomplices had spent years trying to stifle within the abyss of oblivion and the corridors of political deals. Nevertheless, discussions regarding the narratives of this event continue.
Al-Aqsa Flood Was a Legitimate and Necessary Act
Hezbollah declared: Those who grasp the motives and justifications behind this "Flood" conclude—based on their reasoning—that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was an act of resistance that was courageous, significant, natural, justified, and legitimate. Given the magnitude of the oppression and the attempts to erase the identity of Palestine and its people, this action was an unavoidable necessity. "Al-Aqsa Flood" was a massive shock; its consequences must be measured against values, legal principles, and their growing influence in the political arena—rather than by the scales of raw power, military superiority, or the excessive violence used to commit genocide, as the Zionist enemy is doing in Gaza.
Global Support and Regional Confusion
The statement emphasized that while nations across the globe rose up in support of the humanitarian and legal values championed by the Al-Aqsa Flood—with Western capitals and universities filling with marches condemning the genocide and crimes against humanity—countries neighboring Palestine were thrown into confusion. This was because the operation ran counter to the path of "failed normalization" into which the ruling regimes of these nations were steering the region, driven by the will of the Zionist regime and its international backers.
Three Years of Brutality; Enemy Objectives Unmet
Hezbollah declared that three years have passed since the Al-Aqsa Flood, a period during which the world has witnessed the brutality of the Zionists and their Western backers; yet, the confrontation regarding Gaza and its political and legal future has not concluded in favor of the Zionist enemy. Despite the widespread mourning over the devastation and the human and financial losses inflicted by the enemy—who has flagrantly violated international law—the narrative of the opposition and conservatives has failed to gain the upper hand. Even amidst such savagery and genocide, the enemy has been unable to eliminate Hamas, the resistance groups, or the people of Gaza; it has achieved neither peace nor even a temporary ceasefire or stability. The situation remains unresolved, with repercussions extending far beyond the Gaza Strip to impact the future of the entire region, the Palestinian cause, and international peace and security; indeed, it has exposed the falsehood of the "international order" and its claims regarding the protection of human rights.
The Resistance Stands Firm; The Enemy Mired in the Quagmire of Defeat
The Lebanese resistance emphasized that three years have passed since the "Al-Aqsa Flood," and this surging wave continues to threaten the aggressors with defeat. Despite achieving tactical successes, the enemy has been unable to translate them into a sustainable strategic advantage; the steadfastness of the resistance and the Palestinian people's unwavering faith in the legitimacy of their cause neutralize every challenge.
Exposing the Enemy’s True Face and the Lies of Pretenders
The Al-Aqsa Flood revealed the greatness of the Palestinian people and exposed the true face of the savage Zionist regime—as well as the US and arrogant powers standing behind it. This event laid bare the falsehood of the international community's claims regarding the defense of freedom and justice, exposing its inability to uphold even the most basic human rights. It also unmasked those who remained silent in the face of the most heinous crimes and genocide. Hezbollah’s Stance: Continued Support for the Resistance and Condemnation of Genocide
Reaffirming its belief in the justice of the Palestinian cause, Lebanon’s Hezbollah declared its unwavering support for the oppressed and resilient Palestinian people. It reiterated its strong condemnation of the Zionist genocide—which tramples upon the international community's professed values—and held the leaders of the United States and Western nations accountable for their silence regarding these atrocities.
Global Call to Action and Warning to Regional Rulers
Hezbollah called upon people worldwide to rise up in defense of human rights and justice, and to prevent the powerful from dominating international law. It prayed that the Almighty would accept the sacrifices made by the leaders and fighters of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other resistance groups, and grant the Palestinian people the strength to remain patient and united. The statement further urged all resistance groups to stand firm against the agenda of the enemy and its backers. Additionally, it warned regional rulers that silence and sycophancy toward the enemy would only serve to undermine their own sovereignty and empower the enemy to dictate the future of their countries and peoples.
The statement concluded by emphasizing that "circumstances are not immutable decrees of fate; the will of nations, when capable of effectively leveraging unfolding events, has the power to shape the future starting today."
