Al-Aqsa Flood marked major turning point for Palestinians, exposed Israel’s weaknesses: Al-Houthi
Yemen’s Ansarullah leader has hailed Operation al-Aqsa Flood as one of the most significant episodes in Palestinian history, saying the surprise attack sent shockwaves through the Israeli regime and exposed its fundamental weaknesses.
In a televised speech on Wednesday evening marking the third anniversary of the major anti-Israel operation, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi described the surprise attack as a major turning point in the Palestinians’ decades-long struggle against the Israeli occupation.
“The current state of anxiety and turmoil in the occupied territories is a direct result of the profound and undeniable impacts that Operation al-Aqsa Flood has had on the security apparatus of Israel,” al-Houthi said.
He said the operation had also created an opportunity for Muslim countries to fulfill their humanitarian, moral and security obligations toward the Palestinian people.
“While the United States, Britain and certain Western countries rushed to assist the Zionists in the wake of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, Muslim states failed to support the oppressed Palestinian nation,” al-Houthi said.
Al-Houthi stated that the US and its Western allies were placed on general alert, immediately provided all forms of support to Israel following the operation, and worked frantically to restore stability in the occupied lands.
The Ansarullah leader went on to reiterate that Yemenis from all walks of life stand, both officially and popularly, with their Palestinian brothers and sisters.
He said that, apart from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement, Iraqi resistance factions and Yemen’s Ansarullah, no one had stood by the Palestinian people.
Al-Houthi stated that the United States is definitely complicit in Israeli crimes, emphasizing that Washington is responsible for the ongoing Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian population in Gaza by placing all its weapons depots across the region at the disposal of the Israeli military and providing the Tel Aviv regime with political and diplomatic cover.
The Ansarullah leader also pointed to the horrific dimensions of Israeli brutalities in Gaza, noting that the Zionists have completely destroyed residential neighborhoods across the coastal territory using US-made bombs, and employed snipers as well as indiscriminate bombardment to ruthlessly massacre women and children.
Al-Houthi also vehemently denounced Israel for using starvation as a weapon of war in Gaza, warning that Palestinians across the devastated region continue to go hungry as food supplies remain critically low and supplies of infant formula are running out.
“Such barbaric behavior, some scenes of which have gone viral, has shocked the whole world. It is deplorable that Muslims have failed to respond properly to such extent of viciousness,” the Ansarullah leader stated.
Al-Houthi praised the remarkable steadfastness and resilience of Palestinians in the face of the Israeli regime’s killing machine, which is armed with the most lethal Western-built munitions.
The Ansarullah leader also sharply criticized Saudi Arabia for its stance vis-à-vis Palestinian resistance movements, stating that Riyadh’s designation of Gaza-based Palestinian resistance factions as terrorist groups reveals the treacherous nature of the House of Saud.
Al-Houthi added that Saudi authorities, as opposed to other regional countries like Oman, have opened up the kingdom’s airspace to Israeli aircraft and are leaving no stone unturned in Lebanon to incite the nation against Hezbollah.
This is while the Islamic Republic of Iran has offered great sacrifices on the path of confronting Zionist tyranny, foremost among them the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Ansarullah leader stated.
Al-Houthi finally described the complete withdrawal of US troops from Iraq as a great lesson for the entire Muslim world, stressing that the pullout was among the fruits of the Iraqi nation’s resistance against US invasion and occupation.
