536 Israeli attacks targeting West Bank farmland, crops in 2026

According to data from the Palestine Information Center “Ma’ta,” Zionist regime’s forces and settlers carried out 536 attacks involving land bulldozing and the destruction of crops between the beginning of 2026 and the end of August.

August alone recorded 64 such attacks, accounting for around 12% of the total documented since the beginning of the year and averaging roughly two incidents per day.

The figures indicate that attacks remained at a high level throughout the first eight months of 2026, averaging approximately 67 incidents per month and placing sustained pressure on the Palestinian agricultural sector.

The damage extends beyond the loss of seasonal crops. Attacks have included bulldozing agricultural land, uprooting trees and destroying crops and other vegetation, compounding farmers’ losses and threatening their ability to continue cultivating their land.

The targeting of farmland also has consequences beyond immediate economic losses, as many Palestinian families depend on agriculture for their income and livelihoods. Repeated destruction of crops and trees undermines the long-term productive capacity of their land.

Declining agricultural production also threatens Palestinian food security, particularly as repeated destruction and bulldozing restrict farmers’ ability to access, cultivate and benefit from their land.

With 536 attacks documented in just eight months, Palestinian farmland across the occupied West Bank continues to face sustained attacks targeting not only individual crops or harvest seasons, but the land itself as a source of livelihood, agricultural production and Palestinian food security.

The figures highlight mounting losses for the Palestinian agricultural sector as farmers face growing challenges in protecting their land, crops and sources of income.
