Islamic Christian Authority says Israeli violations at Aqsa Mosque “crossed red lines”

“Settler break-ins at the Aqsa Mosque have reached unprecedented levels this month,” the Islamic Christian Authority said in a statement released on Monday. “These are no longer isolated acts by extremists, but a systematic policy designed to forcibly change the legal and historical status quo of the Islamic holy site.”

The Authority said that the danger extends beyond the growing number of settlers to the nature and purpose of their tours of the Aqsa Mosque.

“Settlers increasingly perform public Talmudic rituals, including prostration, singing, and dancing, and bring religious books, garments, and ritual items into the Mosque’s courtyards to establish a daily presence with both religious and political motives,” the Authority explained.

It warned that such settler violations at the Aqsa Mosque cross “religious and national red lines” and risk sparking a wider religious conflict, holding the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for the consequences.
