Funeral of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei to Begin in Tehran on July 4

The organizers of the mourning events announced on Saturday that in accordance with arrangements made, details have been released regarding the farewell, funeral, and burial ceremonies for Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and members of his family.

According to the announcement, farewell ceremonies for the sacred body of the martyred Leader and his family members — Dr. Mesbah al-Hoda Baqeri Kani, Seyyedeh Boshra Hosseini Khamenei, Zahra Haddad Adel, and Zahra Mohammadi Golpayegani (may God bless them all) — will be held on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, corresponding to the 19th and 20th of Muharram, at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Musalla (Grand Prayer Hall).

On Monday, July 6, corresponding to the 21st of Muharram, the funeral procession ceremony will be held in Tehran.

On Tuesday, July 7, corresponding to the 22nd of Muharram, another funeral procession ceremony will take place in the holy city of Qom.

The final funeral ceremony will be held on Thursday, July 9, corresponding to the 24th of Muharram and the eve of the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Sajjad (AS), in the holy city of Mashhad, followed by burial at the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS).
