Velayati: Western Nightmare of a Powerful Iran Has Become Reality

Ali Akbar Velayati, the Senior Advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for International Affairs, wrote on the "X" social network: "The long-standing nightmare and historical fear of Western theorists regarding Iran gaining power has turned into reality, and a new geometry has taken shape. The admission by Western media (Reuters and The Guardian) regarding Trump's need for a temporary agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz demonstrates the failure of the Iran-threat doctrine and the victory of the Resistance's authority."

He further wrote: "However, the greater strategic blunder is committed by those in the region who have pinned their hopes on the mirage of compromise. The new architecture of the power geometry will not be formed upon the weakening of the heroic Resistance; diplomatic wishful thinking carries a heavy cost, and sustainable peace grows from within the balance of power, not from the heart of a mirage of unbacked commitments."
