Hamas welcomes UN blacklisting of Israel over conflict-zone sexual violence

The Hamas Movement has welcomed the UN decision to place Zionist regime on its blacklist of countries involved in sexual violence against civilians in conflict zones.

In a statement released on Monday, Hamas noted that the decision relies on documented evidence and verified testimonies gathered by specialized UN bodies.

“This decision offers new documentation of the organized, horrific crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime’s army against Palestinians. It serves as a vital step on the path to holding Zionist leaders and war criminals accountable, an action that is long overdue,” Hamas said.

“This UN blacklisting of Israel should not be treated as a mere symbolic documentation or designation. Rather, it demands concrete, punitive measures to stop the government of war criminal Netanyahu from violating international humanitarian law and global human rights conventions,” Hamas underscored.

The Movement stressed the need for the world to move past empty rhetoric, turning condemnation into action, securing international protection for the Palestinian people, and holding Israeli war criminals accountable.
