IRGC targets US F-18 warplane in skies of Chabahar
The Public Relations Department of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced that the fourth strategic warplane of the US military, an F-18 type, has been shot down.
The F-18 fighter of the aggressive US military was precisely targeted in the skies of Chabahar on Wednesday evening by missiles from the advanced modern air defense system of the IRGC Navy, operating under the command of the country's integrated air defense network, and crashed into the Indian Ocean, the IRGC said in a statement on Wednesday.
This operation marks the fourth successful targeting of strategic warplanes belonging to the American and Zionist military by Iran’s completely indigenous modern air defense systems.
The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on February 28 by assassinating former Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top military commanders, despite the indirect Tehran-Washington negotiations.
Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately initiated decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and the Israeli-occupied territories.
