IRGC: Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei’s election outset of new phase in Islamic Revolution

A few hours after Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei was chosen as the third leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the IRGC issued a statement early on Monday congratulating the choosing by the Assembly of Experts.

The IRGC is fully prepared, the statement said, to obey the commands of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, preserve the values of the Islamic Revolution, and safeguard the precious legacy of Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Republic, and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution who was martyred in an airstrike on his office in Tehran on February 28, the first day of the ongoing US-Israeli terror attack on Iran.

The statement noted that this election is a new dawn and the commencement of a fresh phase in the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic, which has made the painful demise of the great leader, Martyred Ayatollah Khamenei, bearable for the Iranian nation and the Islamic Ummah.

It is essential at this sensitive historical juncture for all segments of society to take steps towards completing the victories of Islamic Iran and overcoming all bloodthirsty oppressors, dictators, monarchies, and Zionists, until the realization of a new Islamic civilization, added the statement.

The IRGC assured that the new leader will guide the country and the Islamic Revolution through difficult junctures towards the exalted goals of the sacred Islamic system with progressive and advancing leadership.
