Since the start of Ramadan:

Zionist troops abducted over 100 Palestinians in West Bank

In a statement published on Sunday, PPS said the surge began last Wednesday with the beginning of Ramadan, as Israeli armed forces intensified nightly incursions into cities, towns, and refugee camps.

The organization said women, children, and former abductees were among those seized, while attacks by Israeli settlers in several areas coincided with the military operations.

According to the statement, the abductions were accompanied by severe violence and extensive property damage.

The abductees and their families were subjected to "severe beating, organized acts of terrorism," alongside "widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens' homes, and confiscation of vehicles, money, and gold jewelry."

Several women and children were among those taken. Early Sunday, Israeli armed forces abducted eight Palestinians, including three children, during raids in the city of Qalqilya and the nearby town of Azzun.

Zionist regime’s armed forces have also tightened restrictions at military checkpoints since Ramadan began. More than 1,000 permanent and mobile checkpoints and gates now restrict movement across the occupied West Bank, deepening the fragmentation of Palestinian communities.

In parallel incidents on Sunday, Israeli settlers stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque compound under Israeli armed forces’ protection.

The east al-Quds Governorate reported that dozens of settlers also raided the Bedouin community of Bir al-Maskoub near al-Eizariya, southeast of al-Quds.

Earlier, settlers attacked Palestinian homes in Beit Furik, east of Nablus. In a separate incident, Israelis set fire to an agricultural structure in Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah.

Local sources said Israeli armed forces later entered the village, while firefighters extinguished the blaze after the building was burned.

The Zionist regime’s newspaper Haaretz, citing sources, said the army has stepped up the demolition of Palestinian Bedouin communities in Area C of the occupied West Bank.

The sources said the so-called national guard, affiliated with Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, operated without oversight or legal restraint.

Amid intensifying pressure, 11 Bedouin families from the Khalayel community in al-Mughayyir village, east of Ramallah, dismantled their tents and left their homes.

More than 9,300 Palestinian abductees are currently held in Zionist regime’s prisons, including 350 children and 66 women. They face torture, starvation, and medical neglect, conditions that have led to the deaths of dozens.

Zionist regime’s genocidal campaign in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has been accompanied by a sweeping escalation of atrocities committed by the regime across the West Bank, including east al-Quds.

The period has been marked by killings, mass abductions, home demolitions, forced displacement, and settlement expansion.

During that period, Zionist regime’s armed forces have also martyred more than 1,117 Palestinians, wounded about 11,500 others, and abducted at least 22,000 people across the Occupied West Bank.
