American expert in interview with Qodsna explains:

Reasons for U.S. & Zionist regime's hostility towards Iran

Paul Larudee told Qodsna that the Iranian revolution and Imam Khomeini have had a huge impact upon the international perspective toward Palestinian liberation

Tehran, Qodsna – Paul Larudee, American political activist, in an exclusive interview with the Qods News Agency talked about the impact of Imam Khomeini’s Islamic Revolution of Iran on the Palestinian issue and the formation of Islamic resistance movements and US and Zionist regime illegally attacks against Iran.

The interview comes as follows:

Qodsna: The anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran is coming up. What is the impact of Imam Khomeini’s Islamic Revolution of Iran on the Palestinian issue and the formation of Islamic resistance movements?

Paul Larudee: The Iranian revolution and Imam Khomeini have had a huge impact upon the international perspective toward Palestinian liberation. It is not an exaggeration to say that the steadfastness of Iran on this issue is equaled only by that of the Palestinians themselves. Similarly, the principled leadership of Iran and the skilled strategic leadership of General Qassem Soleimani and other visionaries has been essential to the creation of the Axis of Resistance, which brings hope and inspiration to movements throughout West Asia, but also to the rest of the world, in Latin America, Africa and beyond.

Qodsna: The United States and the Zionist regime illegally attacked Iran in June of this year and are trying to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran, but by the grace of God, they have not succeeded after 47 years. What are the reasons for these hostilities with Iran in your opinion? How do you assess the future of the Islamic Revolution in Iran?

Paul Larudee: The main reasons for hostility to Iran are that Western imperialism and Zionism require domination of, compliance by, and exploitation of, all other nations. They have no interest in independence or equality, and consider themselves the only ones worthy of national sovereignty. In effect, the policy is one of continued colonialism, with a somewhat different face, which deceives no one. Iran asks no more than the rights of every other nation, and the same for other nations, such as Palestine, Yemen, Lebanon, Venezuela and others. But that is considered a threat to the hegemonic powers like the US and NATO, and to expansionist racist powers like the Zionist project. The Islamic Revolution expresses the will of the vast majority of the Iranian people. The leadership listens to the people and the people support the leadership. This will not be broken. The Iraq War demonstrated the strength of this bond. I believe, but cannot be certain, that Israel and the US will not be foolish enough to test Iran's resolve, but whatever happens, Iran will survive for another 5,000 years, God willing.

Qodsna: Do you condemn ant attacks by the US and the Zionist regime on Iran?

Paul Larudee: The attacks by the US and the Zionists are against all principles of morality, honesty and brotherly coexistence.
