A million strong demonstration in Yemen confirms readiness to support Gaza
Yemenis have staged a million-strong march in the capital Sana’a to reiterate their support for Palestinians and the axis of resistance.
The mass event, organized by the Ansar Allah group at the call of its leader Abdul Malik Al Houthi, was launched under the slogan, “Answering and supporting the Palestinian people, steadfast and ready for the next round,” according to Al-Masirah channel.
Participants raised Yemeni and Palestinian flags, chanting slogans that expressed readiness to support Gaza, including, “We are ready and longing and racing to support you,” “With Gaza, the Yemen of the honorable, in anger, mobilization, and loyalty,” and, “Yemen of wisdom and faith, with Iran and with Lebanon.”
One participant expressed the demonstrators’ position, saying, “We say to our brothers in Gaza and Palestine, and to our brothers in Iran, that we are with you in any upcoming round of the conflict, you will not be alone, and we are with you until victory.”
In a statement it issued, the Ansar Allah group announced its full readiness for the next round of confrontation with Israel, affirming its rejection of any domination or control over the peoples of the region.
The statement considered that the continued violations of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the escalation of Zionist regime’s crimes in the Strip and the West Bank, along with attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque and other holy sites, expose the falsity of international claims and the inability of the guarantors to compel Israel to honor its commitments.
The group stressed the steadfastness of the popular position in Saada in supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance, and solidarity with the resistance forces in the region.
It viewed the war crimes faced by Palestinians as reflecting “the nature of the Zionist project based on killing, displacement, and destruction, with direct American and Western support.”
This position comes at a time when the region is witnessing escalating tensions, coinciding with the convening of nuclear talks between Iran and the United States in the Omani capital Muscat, amid threats to target Iran.
They chanted “Yemen of wisdom and faith… with Iran and Lebanon,” and “O all Muslim peoples… rise up against the crimes,” decrying Arab silence on American arrogance and Zionist regime’s crimes.
A statement issued by the protest organizers stressed the Yemeni people’s "complete readiness for the next round of confrontation with the Israeli enemy and its allies and partners.”
Referring to the recent release of documents linked to the case of the late convicted American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein which reveal corruption and abuse among Western elites, the statement said "The events unfolding before us in the world increase our awareness, certainty, and conviction about the truth we stand for and the correct course of action.”
“Allah has revealed and exposed our Zionist enemies, uncovering their appalling and unprecedented morally and humanly degenerate reality, which has shocked the world, particularly concerning the global scandal of the Jew Jeffrey Epstein, his partner [US President Donald] Trump, and the leaders of America and the infidel West, and the hypocrites in our region."
Similar demonstrations took place in other Yemeni provinces, including Sa’ada, Hudaydah, Hajjah, Ibb, Lahej, Bayda, Dhamar, Dhale, Ma’rib, and Raymah on Friday.
