Zionist regime allows only 27 Palestinians through Rafah crossing

The Zionist regime’s occupation army allowed only 27 Palestinians to cross through the Rafah border crossing on Monday and left dozens stranded overnight on the Egyptian side.

50 Palestinians were supposed to return to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing on Monday, but the Zionist regime’s army allowed only 12 people to enter, while the remaining 38 failed to pass security checks and were forced to spend the night on the Egyptian side of the border.

According to Palestinian and Egyptian sources, Israel permitted just five patients, escorted by two relatives each, to cross to the Egyptian side, bringing the total number of those entering and exiting Gaza to 27 passengers.

Originally, 50 Palestinians were expected to enter Gaza and an equal number to leave on Monday.

Many of those seeking to depart are hospital patients awaiting the chance to receive medical treatment outside the war-ravaged coastal enclave.
