Sheikh Sabri: Al-Quds and Aqsa entered a critical stage amid lack of deterrence

Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied Al-Quds, has warned that the holy city is going through a perilous phase as the extremist Zionist regime’s government faces no deterrent against its plan to demolish and divide the Aqsa Mosque.

“Al-Quds is undergoing a painful stage as a result of Israel’s extremist practices,” Sheikh Sabri said in press remarks on Monday.

“Al-Quds’ residents are paying the heavy price for defending the Aqsa Mosque, abandoned without support amid utter international silence,” Sheikh Sabri added.

“The policy of demolishing homes, displacing civilians, and uprooting families is still ongoing, and has escalated noticeably in recent times, under the supervision of extremist Jewish groups that have gained direct influence within the government,” Sheikh Sabri noted.

He explained that these Jewish groups are directly involved in the demolition of Palestinian homes and the abuse of Al-Quds residents, accusing them of inciting destruction and killing, and persisting in desecrating the Aqsa Mosque.

“Such violations are being committed openly in full view of the entire world, without any real action to stop them,” he stressed, describing them as part of a “systematic war targeting the Palestinian people’s presence on their land.”
