Zionist regime bombs Gaza's Rafah in latest ceasefire violation

The Zionist regime’s military has launched new aerial assaults on the Gaza Strip, marking the latest violation of the ceasefire agreement with the Hamas resistance movement that was expected to end the regime’s two-year-long genocidal war in Gaza.
Zionist regime’s media reported that the regime’s forces carried out airstrikes in southern Gaza’s Rafah following an alleged Hamas attack on occupation troops in the area.
The Resistance News Network Telegram channel reported that the Zionist regime’s strikes on Rafah were aimed at protecting members of a Tel Aviv-backed, Daesh-linked militia led by Yasser Abu Shabab, following a surprise attack by resistance fighters against the criminal gang.
The news network also reported an Israeli air raid east of Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip, which killed two Palestinians and wounded several others.
Meanwhile, Zionist regime’s Channel 12 said Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a phone call with War Minister Israel Katz and senior military officials to discuss the situation.
Far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for a renewed Gaza genocide, writing “War!” in a one-word X post.
Senior Hamas official Izzat al-Risheq, however, emphasized that Hamas remains committed to the ceasefire deal.
“It is the occupation that continues to violate the ceasefire and provide excuses for its crimes,” he added. “Netanyahu’s attempt to evade his commitments is happening under pressure from his coalition of terror.”
Following indirect negotiations in Egypt, Zionist regime and Hamas agreed on October 9 to a Gaza truce plan proposed by US President Donald Trump.
The first phase of the US-brokered agreement, which came into effect on October 10, required Hamas to release 20 surviving Israeli captives and 28 bodies of dead Israelis in exchange for Israel freeing nearly 2,000 Palestinian abductees and transferring the bodies of 360 Palestinians killed during the Gaza onslaught.
So far, Hamas has handed over all 20 living Zionist captives and the remains of 12 others, while Zionist regime has released nearly 2,000 Palestinians, held unlawfully by the regime, and returned the bodies of 135 Palestinians.
Zionist regime accepted the Gaza truce deal after two years, following the failure to achieve its declared objectives of eliminating Hamas and freeing all captives, despite killing 68,116 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 170,200 others.
