Hamas criticizes UN inaction amid Israeli genocide in Gaza

Hamas has condemned the silence and inaction of United Nations institutions, particularly the Security Council, regarding Israel’s brutal crimes against Palestinians.
On Monday, the Palestinian resistance movement argued that this inaction highlights a troubling double standard among international bodies.
Hamas added that its silence is also indicative of the comprehensive collapse of the existing international system of values and principles.
The criticism from Hamas follows a recent statement by Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who threatened to demolish multiple residential towers in Gaza City, resulting in the displacement of their inhabitants.
Hamas said Netanyahu’s threats represent one of the most horrific forms of sadism and criminality for a war criminal who has been committing brutal atrocities against civilians for nearly two years.
It also described Netanyahu’s threats as a blatant and unprecedented violation of international laws and conventions.
Hamas called on all free nations and peoples of the world to intensify measures against the fascist Zionist entity, and force it to halt its crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.
Earlier on Monday, the Israeli minister of military affairs warned that Gaza City will be destroyed unless Palestinian resistance groups agree to an Israeli-backed ceasefire proposal by US President Donald Trump.
“A mighty hurricane will hit the skies of Gaza City today, and the roofs of the towers will shake,” Israel Katz wrote on X.
“Release the captives and lay down your weapons - or Gaza will be destroyed and you will be annihilated,” he wrote.
Residents said Israeli forces bombed Gaza City, the largest urban center in the besieged strip, from the air and blew up armored vehicles in its streets over the past hours.
Among at least 40 Palestinians reported killed in Gaza on Monday was Osama Balousha, a journalist for Palestinian media.
Nearly 250 journalists have been martyred in Gaza during the war, making it by far the world’s deadliest war for news media in living memory.
