The martyr toll of Gaza’s journalists rises to 249

The Government Media Office has confirmed that the number of journalist martyrs has reached 249 since the beginning of the Zionist regime’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
Reporting on Tuesday, resistance media outlets identified the victim as journalist and broadcast engineer Ayman Haniyeh of the Iraq-based al-Manara Media Company.
The victim was martyred near the Jordanian Hospital in Gaza City, which has come under the regime’s most ferocious assaults yet throughout the genocide.
Also, Rasmi Jihad Salem, a photojournalist working with Al-Manara Media Company was martyred yesterday.
In a strongly worded statement, the office condemned in the harshest terms the systematic targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists by the Zionist regime’s occupation.
It called on the International Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists Union, and all journalistic organizations worldwide to condemn these crimes against journalists and media professionals in Gaza.
The statement held the Zionist regime’s occupation, the US administration, and other countries complicit in the genocide, such as the UK, Germany, and France, fully responsible for these heinous and brutal crimes.
The office also called on the international community, international organizations, and all press-related entities across the globe to take action to condemn the occupation’s crimes, to deter and pursue it in international courts, and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Additionally, it urged them to apply real and effective pressure to stop the genocide, protect journalists and media workers in Gaza, and end the ongoing crime of targeting and assassinating them.
