Qodsna held special meeting:

Role of the Resistance media in narrative of oppression of Gazans

The main factor for victory in the media arena is first the perseverance and resistance of the Palestinian people, then the documentation of the events of the war. Media activities of the resistance can threaten the existence of the Zionist regime

Tehran (qodsna)- The meeting on the role of resistance media in the narrative of the oppression and resistance of the people of Gaza was held at the Qods News Agency office in Tehran with the presence of Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Iran and Mazen Al-Sari, the representative of the ‘Pal Today’ network in Tehran.

Abu Sharif said that ‘What has happened in Gaza in recent months has been the organized killing and massacre of Palestinian journalists. Of course, overall, we are witnessing an all-out crime in the Gaza Strip that has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 62,000 Palestinians. Also, due to the lack of medicine and treatment, many patients, including 40 percent of dialysis patients and more than 50 percent of cancer patients, have been martyred.

"The number of Palestinian martyrs is much higher than the statistics presented, and if we add the number of patients who have been martyred and the missing martyrs, it will be approximately 124,000 Palestinian martyrs. The number of Palestinian wounded is also double the statistics presented so far.", He added:

Regarding the role of media and information activities, he said that since its fake establishment, the Zionist regime has launched a massive effort to distort events. They always try to portray themselves as victims despite the crimes they commit.

The Zionist regime is also trying to use several tools to cover up its crimes, so the need for strong media activity supporting the resistance is considered very important, representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Iran said.

The main factor in victory in the media field is initially the steadfastness and resistance of the Palestinian people, as well as the documentation of the events of the war, even with small tools. These activities, taken together, can create huge movements and campaigns in support of Palestine, which are currently being seen in countries such as the Netherlands, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia with very large demonstrations. All these achievements were achieved due to the heartfelt and selfless resistance of the Palestinian people and, of course, media activities, especially on social networks, which have caused the crimes of the Zionist regime to be particularly exposed to all the people of the world and exposed to their close attention, he added.

Abu Sharif noted: All these events have led to the view of world public opinion in support of Palestine being strengthened much more than in the past, which is considered a very important achievement. This success occurred in a situation where Western media in the past were not at all supportive of Palestine and the Palestinian narrative and they supported the Zionists, but in the current situation, world public opinion has changed, which is considered a great achievement in the field of informing and promoting the Palestinian narrative."

Meanwhile, Mazen Al-Sari, the representative of the ‘Pal Today’ network in Tehran said at the meeting that The Zionist regime's narrative war has been ongoing for decades, and the regime has tried to use various tools such as news networks, cultural productions, and films, to advance its narrative. However, after the Gaza war began, this narrative was undermined and the Palestinian narrative took over, which reflects the impact of Palestinian journalists' actions in covering events in Gaza, which has changed the narrative in favor of Palestine.

"In this regard, the Zionist regime has turned to assassinating Palestinian journalists and is trying to disrupt the coverage of Palestinian realities by eliminating journalists.", he added.

This year, the Zionist regime has directly targeted Palestinian media outlets in 520 attacks, and has martyred approximately 15 Palestinian journalists each month. Of course, they use tools to pressure and discredit Palestinian journalists and try to portray them as affiliated with resistance groups, Mazen Al-Sari added.

He added: "Media activities in support of Palestine have changed the public's view of the Zionist regime, which, according to a new Gallup poll, has reduced American support for the Zionist regime in this country by 46 percent. In European countries, the level of opposition to the Zionist regime has reached 63 to 70 percent, and the level of support for the regime has dropped to 13 to 15 percent overall”.
