Two Palestinian teens martyred in Bethlehem

Two Palestinian teens were martyred early Thursday morning after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
The Ministry of Health announced that the General Authority for Civil Affairs had informed them of the martyrdom of two Palestinians, who were martyred by Zionist regime’s gunfire in Al-Khader and whose bodies are being held by the IOF.
Local sources identified the two martyrs as Ahmad Ali As’ad Ashira Salah, 15, and Mohammad Khaled Aleyan Issa, 17.
According to local reports, Israeli forces opened fire on at least four children and teens near the Al-‘Ibara area in the western part of Al-Khader, adjacent to the settler-only Road 60, wounding several of them.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that Zionist regime’s forces prevented their medical teams from reaching the area to treat the injured.
Local sources added that the IOF detained two of the wounded, while the others were transferred to hospitals in Bethlehem.
In parallel with its ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, the Zionist regime’s army and settlers have escalated their assaults in the West Bank, including Occupied Al-Quds. Since October 7, 2023, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been martyred, around 7,000 injured, and over 17,000 arrested, according to official statistics.
