Hamas mourns Izadi, hails his role in supporting Palestinian resistance

The al-Qassam Brigades and the Hamas Movement mourned Major General Mohammad Saeed Izadi, also known as “Hajj Ramadan,” the head of the Palestine file in Iran’s Quds Force, who was assassinated by Israel during its recent aggression against Iran.
In a statement, al-Qassam said Izadi was the direct liaison with the leadership of the Palestinian resistance and that he has now joined the ranks of the righteous martyrs in the struggle against the criminal Zionist-Nazi entity.
“The al-Qassam Brigades mourn this leader, whose absence will be deeply felt by Palestine and its resistance. We recall his prominent role in supporting the Palestinian resistance and working tirelessly to arm and develop it through every possible means—fulfilling his sincere jihadist duty and the role expected of the leaders and forces of our nation in supporting and standing by the Palestinian people and their resistance.”
It noted that Izadi answered God’s call by supporting the resistance, engaging directly with its leadership, and offering all possible assistance over many years. He carried the concerns and hopes of the resistance and its fighters to his brothers across the Islamic Republic—alongside a group of his fellow committed mujahideen and great leaders in the Republic.
The Brigades affirmed that the “Zionist enemy still lives under the illusion that it can extinguish the spirit of resistance among our people and our nation by assassinating its leaders. But it has failed to learn the lessons of history. This great group of martyr leaders who have led the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood’ and whose blood has mixed with that of the sons of our nation from every country—embody the unity of the Ummah, which has now cast this entity into decline, to be followed inevitably by the spring of the nation.”
The statement praised the steadfastness of the Iranian people and the performance of the Iranian armed forces, whose painful strikes have unsettled the enemy and “clearly demonstrated the weakness of this temporary entity—that it can be deterred and broken.”
“The end of the occupation of Palestine is not a fantasy, as the submissive once claimed. It is possible if the efforts of the Ummah and its vital forces unite. The hearts of this nation beat with resistance and hostility toward the occupation, which we continue to witness in the overwhelming joy that erupts with every rocket that strikes the entity or wounds its forces across all fronts of resistance.”
Hamas, for its part, said in a statement, “The martyred commander was one of the pillars of support for Palestinian resistance movements across all fields and arenas. He worked day and night for the sake of the Palestinian cause and made significant efforts to strengthen the capabilities of our people and resistance in the face of the Zionist enemy—until he was martyred on this very path.”
“As we bid farewell today to martyr Hajj Ramadan, we affirm that the blood of this great leader, along with the many righteous martyrs who have fallen in this great battle on the same path, will remain the fuel for the journey of resistance until victory and liberation.”
“We extend our deepest condolences and sympathy to the Islamic Republic of Iran—its leadership and people—to the martyr’s family and comrades, and to the dear people of Iran, who have never hesitated to stand with Palestine and support its resistance,” the Movement concluded.
