Int’l conf. on Imam Khomeini and Palestinian Issue

The gathering will be attended by hundreds of foreign guests from more than 30 countries, the representatives of Palestinians resistance Hamas movement, and foreign nationals residing in Iran.

The Conference will be held on the eve of 36^th passing away anniversary of Imam Khomeini.

This conference is being held in Tehran under the auspices of the "Association for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation" and in cooperation with the Quds News Agency, Tehran Municipality, and the World Islamic Awakening Forum, and with the presence of 200 foreign guests, political and cultural figures, activists in the Palestinian and resistance circles, and high-ranking military and state officials.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hassan Rahimian, Secretary General of Iran based Society in Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN), and Alireza Zakani, Mayor of Tehran, are among the main speakers of this conference.

The international conference aimed at introducing the foreign guests about Imam Khomeini’s ideals towards Palestine.

The founder of the Islamic Revolution is considered as a great supporter of the Palestinians rights and backer of other oppressed nations in contemporary history.

Imam Khomeini led Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, which culminated in the overthrow of the US-backed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi’s monarchy.

Imam Khomeini passed away on June 4, 1989 at the age of 87.

Every year, millions of Iranians from across the country travel to Tehran to pay homage to the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, demonstrated remarkable foresight by warning as early as the 1950s and 60s about the Zionist regime as a threat to Islam and humanity. From the very beginning, he framed resistance against the occupation of Palestine as both a religious and moral obligation for all Muslims.

During the conference, the global emblem of “Gaza,” presented by the Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN), will be bestowed upon the Hamas Political Bureau leader martyr Yahya Al-Sinwar and Hezbollah Secretary General- martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, martyr of the nation, the pioneer of struggle and resistance, the vanguard of the field of jihad and steadfastness- as well as Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi- Yemen courageous leader in recognition and appreciation of his steadfast and jihadi positions, as well as the resolute spirit of the noble Yemen-.
