Hamas condemns Israeli decision to expand its aggression in West Bank

The Zionist regime's decision to expand its aggression in the West Bank and the forced displacement campaigns that affected more than 40,000 Palestinians from the Jenin, Tulkarem, Nour Shams and Al-Far’a camps, requires all components of our Palestinian people and its resistance factions to form a unified front to confront these brutal crimes, the Movement said in a statement issued on Sunday.

The Movement further pointed out that “the statements made by the Israeli Army Minister, Yisrael Katz, regarding keeping his army in the northern West Bank camps for a year, and preventing its residents from returning to their homes, are illusions that will never come true.”

Hamas called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank to escalate resistance to put an end to the Zionist regime's crimes.

The army has been conducting military operations in the northern West Bank since last month, killing at least 60 people and displacing thousands.

The raids were the latest in Zionist regime's ongoing military escalation in the West Bank where at least 923 Palestinians have been martyred and nearly 7,000 injured in attacks by the Zionist regime's army and illegal settlers since the start of the onslaught against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The International Court of Justice declared in July that Zionist regime’s long-standing occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal, demanding the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Al-Quds.
