Iran’s capital city Tehran hosted an international conference called “Gaza; Oppressed and Resilient” on Saturday morning.
Tehran, Qodsna - On the eve of the 35th anniversary of the passing of Imam Khomeini, the international conference " Gaza; Oppressed and Resilient" was held with the presence of political and international figures in the Iranian capital Tehran.
The international conference "Gaza; Oppressed and Resilient" was organized by the Foreign Secretariat of the Imam Khomeini Commemoration Committee at the International Conference Center of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian parliament, said at this international conference, “Today, when the conscience of the freedom-lovers of the world is wounded by what has been happening to the Palestinians for months, today when the wave of public support for Gaza and Rafah in European and Western cities has begun and some Western countries have taken the initiative to recognize Palestine, today when the Hague Court has explicitly condemned the occupying Israel, today when the universities of the world are holding liberating and emancipation classes, the world hears the voice of Palestine, but this voice reached us 60 years ago from the throat of a divine man from Qom.
Ghalibaf also stated, “This divine man, alone and even in the midst of the astonishment of his close companions, not only in Iran but also in the world, pointed out the root of corruption and oppression, and considered the criminal US and the usurping Zionist regime as the embodiment of this corruption.”
Iran’s acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani stated, “Today, in the legal arena as well, international bodies such as the Hague Court have condemned the Zionist regime. Therefore, if we look at the state of international relations in the political, legal, media and other spheres, we see that the situation of the Zionist regime is declining in all spheres. Today, all the tools of this abhorrent regime are murder and crime, and it is this very crime that has organized an international mobilization against this regime.
Muhammad Wassam Al-Murtada, the Minister of Culture of Lebanon, while conveying the greetings of the people of Lebanon, the country of thought, resistance and perseverance, to Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and all the Iranian nation and the heroic people of Palestine and Gaza, paid tribute to the great martyrs, especially Ayatollah Raisi, the President of Lebanon, and the martyred Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, and said, “These great martyrs stood by the people of Gaza and Palestine with their resolute positions, negotiations and perseverance.”
Nasser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, said in this conference, “The West is the biggest supporter of the Zionist regime, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has openly defended the oppressed people of Palestine in all areas to uphold their rights.
