IRGC commander: Iran, resistance front will not yield to enemy, ready to deliver crushing response

Brigadier General Mohammad Karami, commander of the IRGC Ground Force, made the remarks on Thursday during a visit to the Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf and units under the operational control of Madinah al-Munawwarah Headquarters.

He said Iran’s armed forces are guided by divine principles and rely on God’s power, adding that the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front would not back down in the face of enemy threats.

“Today, the dear Iranian nation and the resistance front, relying on God, will not back down an iota in the face of the enemy,” the IRGC commander said.

“We are certain of divine guidance, grace and promises. The ... Iranian nation and the resistance front will emerge victorious, and the future belongs to Islam,” Karami emphasized.

Tensions between Iran and the United States have continued to escalate over the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most strategically important maritime chokepoints.

Since the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran on February 28, Tehran has imposed strict regulations on the Strait, requiring all vessels to coordinate with Iranian naval authorities and obtain permission before transiting.

Iran says the Strait of Hormuz remains under its complete control, with the IRGC Navy and the Army Navy jointly managing security in the region.
