Iran Army targets US military facilities in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain in retaliatory operations

Iran's Army says it has launched the 14th and 15th phases of Operation Saeqeh (Lightning), using attack drones to strike strategic US military facilities and key bridges in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Army said the 14th phase of the operation targeted an ammunition depot at Camp Adairi (Al-Udeiri), headquarters buildings, ammunition warehouses at Ali Al Salem Air Base, and several key bridges in Kuwait.

The army also said its drones struck fuel storage facilities at Jordan's Al Azraq Air Base.

Camp Al-Udeiri is a major logistical and force-reorganization center for US forces, while Ali Al Salem Air Base is identified as one of Washington’s largest air operations support and coordination hubs in the Persian Gulf.

Al Azraq Air Base is a vital US military installation used for regional command and operations in West Asia.

The Iranian Army said that, in the 15th phase of the operation, it targeted aircraft shelters, aircraft parking areas, fuel storage facilities at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain, as well as several strategic bridges, using attack drones.

It described Sheikh Isa Air Base as one of the most important operational and logistical centers supporting US air and naval forces in the region, noting that it serves as a key base for US military operations against regional targets, particularly Iran.

The army said the strikes were carried out in response to the "crimes of global arrogance" and in honor of those killed in recent attacks, especially in Iran's southern provinces.

Reaffirming its commitment to defending the country, the Iranian Army said any power seeking to challenge the resolve of the Iranian nation would face the determination of Iran's armed forces and people.

The United States has perpetrated numerous violations against Iranian territory since April 7, when US President Donald Trump announced a unilateral ceasefire in the latest bout of wholesale American-Israeli aggression targeting the Islamic Republic.

The violations continued even after Washington and Tehran signed a Pakistan-mediated memorandum of understanding last month, whose first clause clearly mandates cessation of aggression on all fronts.

The US has also been trying to help vessels evade the maritime route designated by the Islamic Republic for safe and legal passage through the Strait of Hormuz, by seeking to escort trespassing vessels through an illegal passageway.

Iran’s Armed Forces have staged uncompromising retaliation in the face of each instance of violation, including those in support of illegal vessel movement in the Strait of Hormuz.
