Top Iranian officials praise Quds Day turnout, emphasizing national resolve
President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi have praised the massive nationwide turnout for International Quds Day rallies, saying the demonstrations reflected national unity, resilience, and public determination despite ongoing attacks and regional tensions.
In a message released Friday, Pezeshkian thanked the Iranian people for their courageous and proud presence, which he said drew admiration from around the world.
He emphasized that he considers it his duty to fully follow the guidance of the country’s newly elected Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, stressing that no domestic policy or international initiative would be pursued without coordination with the new Leader.
The president added that while supporting Iranian Armed Forces remains essential, the government’s most important priority is addressing the needs and livelihoods of the Iranian people. He also called for cooperation among all branches of government to effectively manage national challenges.
Meanwhile, Speaker Ghalibaf said the Quds Day rallies marked a turning point in the country’s wartime management.
Writing on social media, he said a new chapter had begun in the system of war management following the national epic of Quds Day, adding that its effects would soon become visible.
Foreign Minister Araghchi, who also participated in the rallies, said the large turnout demonstrated the Iranian people’s determination despite ongoing attacks.
Araghchi added that Iran would continue on the same path with determination, saying the scale of public participation would ultimately compel its adversaries to acknowledge the strength of the Iranian people.
