Iran Army downs 6 invading Hermes drones
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Army has announced the destruction of 6 advanced drones by its air defense systems.
The Army said in its 9th statement that 6 advanced Hermes drones were destroyed in the last 24 hours by the defense systems of the Joint Air Defense Command of Khatam al-Anbia in the provinces of Isfahan, Kermanshah, Tabriz, Khuzestan, and the general area of Tehran.
“Since the beginning of the war, 35 advanced enemy drones have been targeted and shot down by land-based defense units, air force fighters, and units of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) under the control of the integrated air defense network,” it added.
The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on Saturday morning by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top military commanders, despite indirect Tehran-Washington negotiations.
Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately initiated decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and the Israeli-occupied territories.
