Handala hacking group breaches Zionist nuclear scientist’s data, sends him symbolic flower bouquet

A group of pro-Palestinian hackers has announced that it has infiltrated systems linked to Zionist regime’s nuclear research sector, gaining access to personal details of a renowned Israeli nuclear scientist, Dr. Isaac Gertz.

The Handala hacking group, in a statement on Saturday, said its breach targeted the Sorek Nuclear Research Center and that it had obtained comprehensive information about Gertz, including his personal profile, educational background, and addresses for both his home and workplace, associated with the Sorek and Saraf facilities.

The group further stated that it had delivered a bouquet of flowers to Gertz, signed by the Handala Truth Seekers Popular Resistance Front (HPR), which was left in the trunk of the scientist’s vehicle.

According to Handala, the move was intended to showcase the group's asserted physical and cyber infiltration, underscoring the vulnerabilities within the facility's security systems.

The group also announced the payment of “the first $10,000 reward” previously promised, without providing further details.

The latest development came one day after the anniversary of the assassination of Iranian scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was killed near Tehran in November 2020.

Handala hinted that “more unusual events” could occur in the future, but did not provide details.

The circumstances surrounding how the bouquet was placed in Gertz’s vehicle remain uncertain.

Handala has previously carried out a series of cyberattacks, targeting Israeli regime facilities, resulting in the leak of sensitive military data, diplomatic communications, and other classified information.

The hacking group has also defaced numerous websites and compromised the accounts of several high-profile Israeli politicians.

In April last year, Handala hacktivists successfully infiltrated the Zionist regime’s military's radar systems and took down the much-hyped Israeli air defense system, the Iron Dome.

The group substantiated its claims by sharing screenshots documenting the hacking of the radars.
