A Yemen-brokered rapproachment deal between Hamas and Fatah as Yemeni officials stated aimed to help resume talks and resolve internal conflicts between the Palestinian groups.

The final declaration of Istanbul Qods conference rejected any normalization of ties with the Zionist regime and described resistance as the unique solution to the Palestinian problems.

Arab leaders relaunched their blueprint for peace in the Middle East. They wrapped up a two-day summit reaffirming their commitment to the Arab initiative first endorsed at a 2002 summit.

Officials from Hamas and Fatah signed an agreement to form a national unity government. The deal was signed in Mecca.

The majority group of the newly elected Palestinian Legislative Council, Hamas, presented its political platform for the government.
