Yemeni forces strike vital Israeli targets deep inside occupied territories, US warships

Yemeni Armed Forces have conducted a series of operations in retaliation for the ongoing American acts of aggression in the Arab country, striking vitals targets deep inside the Israeli-occupied territories as well as US warships in the northern Red Sea and the Arabian Sea.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for Yemen’s military, stated on Sunday morning that Yemeni forces had carried out a reprisal strike against a strategic position in the city of Ashkelon in the southern side of the occupied lands, using a homegrown Yaffa combat drone.

They also hit an Israeli military target in the port city of Eilat with a domestically-developed Sammad-1 (Invincible-1) unmanned aerial vehicle.

Saree noted that the retaliatory operations also came in solidarity with the Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip amid the unrelenting Israeli genocidal war on the territory.

Additionally, Yemeni naval and drone units launched an attack on the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier and its escorts in the Red Sea in retaliation for the continued US aggression against the Arab country, death and injury of dozens of civilians and destruction of vital infrastructure.

The spokesman for the Yemeni military said the forces struck the US warships, using two indigenous anti-ship cruise missiles and two attack drones.

Yemeni naval, drone and missile forces also targeted the USS Carl Vinson supercarrier and its escorting vessels in the Arabian Sea with three cruise missiles and four drones.

Saree underlined that the military operations could successfully attain their desired objectives.

“The Yemeni Armed Forces will conduct their retaliatory operations against the Zionist entity deep inside the occupied Palestinians territories at an escalating pace over the coming weeks and months.

“They will also continue their attacks in the Red and Arabian Seas, targeting all hostile forces. Dozens of US airstrikes will not deter Yemeni forces from abandoning their support for oppressed Palestinians in the Gaza Strip until the ongoing aggression ceases and the tight blockade is completely lifted,” he pointed out.

Yemenis have been hitting Israeli and American targets in support of Palestinians in Gaza since the regime launched its devastating war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, and in response to the American-British aggression on their homeland.

The operations have effectively shut down the Eilat port south of the occupied territories, causing significant economic setbacks for the Israelis.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have said they will not stop their attacks until Israel’s ground and aerial offensives in Gaza end.
