Zionist troops raids homes of released captives in the West Bank

Zionist regime's occupation forces carried out new raids on Saturday on the homes of released prisoners in the West Bank as part of the sixth batch of the prisoners’ exchange deal, within the framework of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist troops stormed the home of released prisoner Iyad Harbiyat in the village of Al Majd, west of the city of Dura in the Al-Khalil governorate.

In a related context, Zionist regime's occupation forces invaded the city of Al-Bireh and raided the home of released prisoner Mazen Al-Qadi, who was released today after more than 22 years of imprisonment, having been sentenced to three life sentences and 25 years.

Nine released prisoners with life sentences arrived in the city of Ramallah, while the occupation authorities transferred three released prisoners with life sentences to occupied Al-Quds, including the Hamas member Nabil Obeid.

Earlier, the Zionist troops raided the homes of other released prisoners, specifically in Bethlehem, targeting the home of released prisoner Abdul Rahman Maqdad, and threatened his family against organizing a reception for him.

The Zionist troops also stormed the home of released prisoner Moussa Nawara “Al-Douri” shortly before his release.

On Friday evening, Zionist troops raided the home of released prisoner Hafiz Shrayea, who was released today, and threatened his family against organizing any celebration for his release. He was deported abroad and had been imprisoned since April 2002, serving life imprisonment.

In occupied Al-Quds, the occupation forces summoned the father of the Hamas prisoner Nabil Salama Obeid to the Moskobiya investigation center.

Nabil Obeid, 46 years old, was arrested on September 24, 2004, and subjected to harsh and lengthy interrogation, before being later sentenced to seven life imprisonment terms, in addition to 30 years.

The sixth batch of the exchange deal included the release of 369 prisoners from the Israeli prisons, including 36 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment, and 333 from the Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7, in exchange for the release of three Israeli prisoners held by the resistance in Gaza.

Thus, the number of prisoners that the resistance managed to free in six batches rises to 1,138 Palestinian prisoners, in exchange for 19 Israeli prisoners. Among the released prisoners are 236 who were serving life sentences, with the least having spent 20 consecutive years in the occupation’s prisons.
