50,000 people perform Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Thousands of citizens performed Friday prayer in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque amidst strict Zionist regime’s security measures.

The Islamic Endowments Department in Al-Quds estimated the number of worshipers at about 50,000 people who managed to perform Friday prayer inside the holy site and in its courtyards.

Local sources reported that Zionist regime’s occupation police forces obstructed the access of many other people, especially those who tried to enter from the Damascus and the Lions Gates, checking their IDs, stopping a number of young men and preventing them from entering the holy Islamic site.

The young men who were denied access to the Mosque performed Friday prayer in its vicinity.

Zionist regime’s occupation forces impose strict restrictions on the entry of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially on Fridays, preventing thousands of citizens from the West Bank from reaching Al-Quds to perform prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, as they require the issuance of special permits to cross their military checkpoints surrounding the holy city.

Since the start of the Zionist regime’s aggression in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, in October 2023, Israeli occupation forces and police have been tightening security measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the entrances to the Old City.
