Hamas: The raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital is a war crime

Hamas emphasized in a statement that the raid by the criminal occupation army on Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, and the forced evacuation of its medical staff, patients, wounded individuals, and displaced persons under the threat of weapons, following intensified barbaric shelling around the hospital last night, which resulted in the deaths of over fifty martyrs, including five medical personnel, “constitutes a war crime added to the long list of crimes perpetrated by the criminal enemy against our people, amid ongoing global and international negligence in fulfilling their role in protecting civilians and civilian facilities.”

The Movement said it holds the criminal occupation, along with the complicit U.S. administration in the brutal genocide in Gaza, fully responsible for the lives of patients, the wounded, and the medical staff working in the hospital. This responsibility is underscored by their complete isolation from communication means, and reports of mistreatment, detention, and the abduction of many to unknown locations.

Hamas called on the international community, the United Nations, and all active countries and parties to take immediate action to break the cycle of silence and impotence in the face of this genocide, to implement measures that would halt “the ongoing Israeli aggression and genocide against our people, and to hold this rogue entity and its terrorist leaders accountable for their crimes against humanity.”
