Hamas mourns Hassan Nasrallah as martyr in Al-Aqsa Flood Battle
The Hamas Movement mourned the Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, “who was martyred in the Al-Aqsa Storm Battle and on the path to Al-Quds,” in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the southern suburb of Beirut.
In a statement on Saturday, Hamas extended its condolences to “the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, the Palestinian people, and the Arab and Islamic nation, and the free people of the world for the martyrdom of His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who was martyred with a group of his fellow leaders, in the Battle of Al-Aqsa Storm and on the Road to Al-Quds, and in support of our Palestinian people and their valiant resistance in confronting the Zionist enemy.”
Hamas condemned in the strongest terms “the barbaric Zionist aggression and the targeting of residential buildings in Haret Hreik in the southern suburbs of Beirut,” calling it “a cowardly terrorist act, a massacre and a heinous crime, which proves once again the brutality of the Israeli occupation.”
Hamas proudly recalled Nasrallah’s life that was “full of sacrifices for the sake of liberating Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and his honorable positions in support of our Palestinian people, our valiant resistance, and our legitimate rights, and his insistence on continuing the heroic support front for our people and our resistance in the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle, despite the grave sacrifices and challenges.”
Hamas held Israel and the US administration fully responsible for “the heinous assassination crime and its dangerous repercussions on the security and stability of the region.”
Hamas renewed its absolute solidarity with Hezbollah, stressing that Nasrallah’s assassination crime and all other Israeli crimes and assassinations, “will only increase the determination and strength of the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine, which will continue with all strength, bravery and pride, on the path of the martyrs, and loyalty to their sacrifices, following their footsteps, and continuing their path of resistance and steadfastness until victory and defeating the occupation.”
