Irish activist in interview with Qodsna:

Palestinian resistance natural response to Israeli occupation

Fra Hughes told Qodsna that history has proven that resistance in the face of occupiers is the natural response of all colonized people around the globe.

Tehran, Qodsna - Fra Hughes, a journalist, author, and activist from Belfast, said in an exclusive interview with the Qods News Agency that resistance is a natural response from any and all colonized peoples to wage national wars of liberation.

Answering a question about the way the Palestinian nation will be able to win back their rights and land, the Irish analyst replied:

“In reality in the current political landscape the opportunity for Palestinians to regain their rights alongside regaining their lands is minimal. Israel is a white European colonial enterprise grafted onto the land of Palestine and the body politic of West Asia. It is a reaction to European anti-Semitism which was at its height in late 19th century. European antisemitism was manifest in monarchial and government policy from Russia to Britain and many regimes in between.

Zionism as espoused by its early exponents was and is a nationalist ideology, which coopted Judaism as a mechanism to unite Jews and Zionists in the selection and displacement of a native indigenous people in order to create a safe haven for Jews outside of the persecution of European leaders. Palestine was not the only option for these Zionist leaders as Uganda, Madagascar, Argentina and others were also seen as viable options however the Zionists chose Palestine in order to use the Torah/Bible as a template, for context using a mythical history of Judaism as a pretext.

Britain through the Balfour Agreement of 1917 paved the way for Zionist terrorists to scheme and pursue the alien occupation of Palestine indeed long before 1917 the Jewish National Fund of Britain was buying land in Palestine to create a foothold for occupation as early as 1902. Copying every other white European colonial occupation of indigenous lands from the Americas to Australia a policy of replacement, ethnic cleansing, land grabs, marginalization, control of movement, starvation and genocide have become the norm. To replace a people is to displace a people. Only through the total replacement and or total subjugation can the colonial enterprise succeed. Out of sight, out of mind could best describe the marginalization of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza today

Palestinian resistance is a natural response from any and all colonized peoples to wage national wars of liberation, history has proven this to be the case, for the last hundred years sadly history also proves that not all liberation movements succeed. The major difference between North America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the French occupation of Algeria or Britain’s military ongoing occupation of Ireland is that the former replaced the indigenous peoples and the latter only militarily occupied and or partially colonized their subjugated realms.

While the axis of resistance and all anti colonial anti-imperialist movements support physically and politically the national liberation of Palestine the opportunity to end the occupation supported militarily as it is by western imperialist finances armaments and political cover in the UN leaves Palestinians with three options:

1. A separate stand-alone state for Palestine as in the two-state solution, long used from the 1993 Oslo sell out as a delaying tactic by Israel and the West to actually prevent the birth of a Palestine state through illegal settler expansionism.

2. The dismantling of the apartheid racist Jewish Zionist entity through liberation resulting in a unified one state for Palestinians and Israelis living together under one democratic system of government enshrined with UN resolution 194 and the Right of Return for the Palestinian diaspora ethnically cleansed from their homes and land since 1947 with rigorous checks and balances in place to end the racist apartheid regime permanently.

3. Total regional war with Israel leading to a military defeat of the Zionist entity and forcing Israel to the negotiating table and thus ending apartheid and the national Jewish state.”
