Libya joins legal procedures against Zionist regime at ICJ
Libya’s representative to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Ahmed Al-Jahani, has said that the Hague-based court has accepted his country’s request to join South Africa's genocide case against the Zionist regime.
Tehran, Qodsna - Al-Jahani told a press conference that the ICJ has agreed with Libya’s request. He added that the ICJ has also agreed with the requests of other countries, including Mexico, to join the case.
The Libyan embassy in the Netherlands reported that Libya has joined the legal proceedings that will take place before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) next February, under the supervision of Palestine, adding that the sessions will be held at the request of the United Nations General Assembly, which asked to be provided with the legal opinion of the ICJ regarding the practices of the Zionist occupation in Palestine.
"According to the progress of the lawsuit and to prevent disruption, it was agreed to intensify statements of political support from countries to ensure that a ruling is issued in the urgent aspect to stop the genocide and the dangers of mass displacement as well as settlement to which the Palestinian people are exposed." The embassy said.
