Hamas calls for solidarity with Gaza and its resilience during Ramadan

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, said that the blessed month of Ramadan, the month of goodness, blessings, and benevolence, is a month of solidarity, unity, and mutual support among the members of the Muslim nation, with Palestine at its heart.

Hamas affirmed in a statement on Thursday that Ramadan is an opportunity to enhance noble meanings and “to dedicate all forms of material and moral support to our people in the Gaza Strip.”

It called on the Muslim nation in the month of Ramadan, the month of righteousness, benevolence, sacrifices, and victories, “to make its days and nights an opportunity to express support and advocacy for our people in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.”

The statement said, “This blessed month of Ramadan comes to our Arab and Islamic nation, and a dear part of its unified body in the Gaza Strip, which is subjected to an oppressive aggression and a continuous genocide war for nearly six full months, which contemporary history has never witnessed an equivalent of.”

Hamas criticized the international silence, inertia, and complacency regarding the cessation and condemnation of this aggression. It stated, “More than two million Palestinian citizens, between martyrs, wounded, orphans, missing persons, and detainees, are bleeding, and their souls rise as martyrs, with the Zionist-American weapons.”

It continued, “The people of Gaza are losing their loved ones and families, suffering from hunger and thirst, and suffering from the lack of all elements of human life while facing this savage war with dignity, pride, patience, steadfastness, sacrifice, in an epic saga, whose title is the Al-Aqsa Flood.”

An invitation to the Palestinian people

Hamas called on the masses of the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the 1948 occupied territories to continue and intensify their presence and permanent steadfastness in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to revive the days and nights of Ramadan in its courtyards.

It emphasized the necessity of steadfastness in Al-Aqsa as an affirmation of its Arab and Islamic identity and rejection of any Zionist attempts to restrict movement to it or within it, and to confront the Israeli occupation authority plans and its extremist settlers towards Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.

Hamas called on all Arab and Islamic governments and institutions to make this blessed month an opportunity to work earnestly and exert all means to stop the aggression, establish land, sea, and air bridges, and deliver relief aid and field hospitals to all areas of the Gaza Strip, in order to prevent the continuation of the war of starvation and extermination.

It urged scholars and preachers in the Islamic world to strive by all means to ignite the spirit of defending the first Qibla of Muslims and the ascension site of the Prophet, peace be upon him.

Hamas emphasized the importance of the role of scholars in conveying the voice of the proud Gaza, its people’s suffering, their legitimate rights, the justice of their cause, and the legitimacy of their resistance, as well as mobilizing the potentials of the nation and motivating its individuals to give and provide all forms of support, advocacy, and endorsement.

Hamas called on the Arab and Islamic peoples and those with living consciences to intensify all forms of material, moral, humanitarian, and charitable support to heal the wounds of the people in the Gaza Strip, support families, patients, and the wounded, and undertake charitable projects that support their resilience.

It renewed its call to the masses and free people worldwide to continue their popular movement and solidarity marches in all fields and squares throughout the blessed month of Ramadan.

Hamas demanded the immediate cessation of this Israeli aggressive war on Gaza, the entry of aid, the return of the displaced, and the reconstruction, and for the nation to have the honor of participating in the heroic battle for Al-Aqsa.

Hamas expressed hope that “in this blessed month, our nation, with all its components, will rise up to be a real aid and support for our Palestinian people and our steadfast people in the Gaza Strip.”

It called on the leaders and heads of the nation to lead a strong and earnest action that matches the sacrifices and pains of the Palestinian people, in which crossings are opened, people are relieved and their pains are alleviated, their wounds are healed, and their resilience and legitimate struggle are supported until the aggression is stopped and the occupation is ended.
