Haneyya: Aqsa Flood began in Gaza and will continue in WB and abroad

Head of Hamas’s political bureau Ismail Haneyya said in a statement issued Saturday that the operation of Aqsa Flood began in Gaza and will extend to the West Bank and abroad.

"The Palestinian resistance is engaged in these historical moments in a heroic epic whose title is Al-Aqsa, our sanctities, and our prisoners, as its central and fundamental cause is the criminal Zionist aggression that took place against the blessed Aqsa Mosque, and reached its peak during the past days, when thousands of fascist criminal settlers stormed the holy site," Hamas chief said.

"We are confident that all of our nation, from east to west, from north to south, and in every place, will be part of the battle to defend the Aqsa Mosque," he added.

Haneyya called on all Muslims everywhere and all the free people all over the world to stand by the Palestinian right to defend the Aqsa.

Earlier on Saturday morning, Mohamed al-Deif, commander-in-chief of al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, announced the launch of “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood” in response to the Israeli occupation state’s crimes against the Palestinians and the escalating settler desecration of the Aqsa Mosque.
