Gaza balloons spark fires in Israeli areas

According to different media reports, a group of Palestinian young men launched helium balloons affixed with incendiary materials from Gaza towards Israel, setting small swaths of forest land in southern Israel on fire.

Five fires took place in forested areas in settlements near the border with Gaza, according to the Hebrew media.

A few days ago, young men from Gaza started releasing kites and balloons into Israeli areas in protest at the ongoing Israeli blockade on the impoverished coastal enclave and in solidarity with the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Al-Quds.

In recent days, the Israeli occupation forces shot martyred six Gazans and wounded many others during border protests.
