Three Israeli troops killed on Egypt border

At least three Israelis were hit by gunfire in a “security incident” near the Egyptian border on Saturday morning, the Zionist regime’s military said.

 

Hours later, the Israel Occupation Forces (IOF) said there was a new exchange of fire in the area, in Israeli territory, which resulted in a gunman being killed.

 

The initial incident occurred near Mount Sagi in the Negev desert. The circumstances were under investigation by the military.

 

“This morning there was a security incident in the Paran Regional Brigade area,” IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told reporters. “In the incident, there are two casualties. The IDF is currently investigating the circumstances of the incident and will update further details later,” he added.

 

Zionist regime's war minister Yoav Gallant held an assessment with IOF chief Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and other defense officials on the exchanges of fire, his office said on Saturday afternoon.

 

he Hebrew news website, Walla, said that gunmen opened fire at Israeli soldiers on the border with Egypt in Negev, injuring some of them.

 

Other news reports said that the incident occurred near the Nitzana border crossing with Egypt, which is used as a commercial terminal.
