Omani Sultan arrives in Tehran upon Raesi’s invitation

Sultan Haitham was warmly welcomed by Raeisi's vice-president at Tehran's Mehrabad Airport upon arrival on Sunday.

President Raeisi will also shortly welcome the Sultan of Oman and his accompanying delegation during a formal reception ceremony at the Saadabad Palace in northern Tehran.

The two leaders will hold private discussions afterwards.

The talks are expected to cover a wide range of issues, including regional stability, economic and political interactions, as well as cultural exchanges.

The two-day visit has been hailed by both sides as marking “a new chapter” in relations between Iran and Oman.

The invitation to Sultan Haitham was extended as part of the Raeisi administration’s policy of deepening relations with regional countries, and with the aim of exploring new avenues to elevate bilateral relations to new highs.
