Member of Hamas’s political bureau Maher Salah has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation police for allowing Jewish settlers to raise an Israeli flag at the Aqsa Mosque and perform prostrations in its courtyards.
In press remarks on Thursday, Salah described such violations as part of the ongoing Zionist regime's aggression against the Aqsa Mosque and its Bab al-Rahma prayer building.
The Hamas official called on Muslim worshipers to respond to this Israeli aggression through intensifying their presence at the Aqsa Mosque, participating in the Great Fajr campaign and performing prayers in the Bab al-Rahma building.
He warned of an Israeli intent to seize the Bab al-Rahma prayer hall and turn it into a Jewish synagogue as part of the plan to divide the Aqsa Mosque spatially and temporally between Muslims and Jews.
He underlined that the resistance operations that are carried out against Israeli targets are considered legitimate and natural responses to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Aqsa Mosque and its Bab al-Rahma prayer hall.
