Zahhar: Security meetings failed attempts to de-escalate resistance
Head of the Political Committee at the Palestinian Legislative Council Dr. Mahmoud Al-Zahhar has said that the security meeting in the Egyptian coastal city of Sharm El-Sheikh constitutes a failed attempt to de-escalate Palestinian resistance activities.
Zahhar condemned the Palestinian Authority for participating in the security meeting in Sharm El-Sheikh city on Sunday, stressing that such meetings only serve the interests of the Israeli occupation.
“Security meetings aim at granting Israel legitimacy for its crimes against the Palestinian people and lands, especially the Israeli crimes in Jerusalem,” Zahhar affirmed.
Earlier in February, the PA participated in a security meeting in the Jordanian city of Aqaba in the presence of Israeli representatives.
