Over 470 resistance operations in the West Bank within one week

The West Bank witnessed 472 resistance operations targeting the Zionists' occupation and settlers in different areas, during last week.

An Israeli man was lightly injured Friday evening when his car was targeted near the settlement of Bet Hagi in the southern West Bank.

The Israeli Magen David Adom emergency service said the man aged around 65 was wounded in the leg, apparently as the result of gunfire.

According to the Kan public broadcaster, a preliminary investigation by the Israel Occupation Forces (IOF) found the attacker opened fire from a passing vehicle.

Clashes were reported between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Friday after Israeli troops attacked Palestinian protestors in several areas of the West Bank.

IOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and tear gas bombs at Palestinian protestors to quell the anti-settlement marches in Beita and Beit Dajan villages in Nablus and in Kafr Qaddoum village in Qalqilya, causing breathing problems to several Palestinian citizens.

Five Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems while a Palestinian citizen was injured in the foot by a stun grenade in Beit Dajan, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

It underlined that 16 Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems in Beita, adding that two others were injured by IOF rubber-coated metal bullets in Kafr Qaddoum.

In a related development, IOF soldiers attacked Palestinian protestors and foreign activists in Huwara town, south of Nablus.

Clashes were reported between the Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers after they attacked Palestinian journalists while they were covering the Israeli attacks against the protestors who condemned the repeated Jewish settlers’ attacks against Palestinians.

Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that three Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems during the clashes in the town of Huwara.

Meanwhile, IOF soldiers maintained the Huwara closure and closed the military checkpoints of Za’tara and Huwara, which imposed restrictions on the movement of Palestinian citizens.

Local sources reported that IOF soldiers prevented foreign activists from reaching Huwara town, according to Ghassan Daghlas, in charge of settlements file in the northern part of the West Bank.

Moreover, clashes were reported between Palestinian youths and IOF soldiers after they attacked the funeral procession of the Palestinian boy Mohammed Salim who was killed yesterday by IOF live bullets in Azzun village east of Qalqilya.

In another development, several Palestinian citizens suffered breathing problems after the Israeli soldiers fired teargas bombs at Palestinian houses in Qaryut village, south of Nablus, to facilitate the Jewish settlers’ raid into the water spring of the village.

Earlier on Sunday, a Palestinian young man was killed and several others were injured after extremist Jewish settlers launched unprecedented attacks against Huwara and other towns in the vicinity of Nablus.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested three Palestinians as clashes erupted in different areas in Ramallah on Friday afternoon.

A Palestinian young man was rounded up during the clashes that broke out in Silwad town.

Another Palestinian was detained during Al-Bireh confrontations.

Meanwhile, a third young man was kidnapped after IOF violently stormed Beitunia town, near Ramallah.

Israeli police arrested ten Palestinian citizens on Friday after attacking Palestinian protestors in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Occupied Jerusalem.

Dozens of Palestinian protestors, who participated in the weekly protest in Sheikh Jarrah, were attacked and beaten when they arrived at the land of the Salem family in the western area of the neighborhood.

The family of Salem has been deprived of benefiting from their land after the Israeli occupation authorities had set up a tent on the land and confiscated it.

For 14 years, Palestinian citizens in Sheikh Jarrah have been participating in protests to condemn the Israeli policy of forcible expulsion practiced against Palestinian citizens in the neighborhood.
