Seven Palestinians martyred in IOF raid in Jericho

The Israeli occupation army claimed that its forces assassinated at dawn Monday a number of Palestinian resistance fighters in Aqabat Jabr refugee camp, southwest of Jericho in the West Bank.

According to a spokesperson for the Israeli army, Israeli troops stormed the camp and were able to reach an apartment in which two wanted Palestinians had been hiding since their failed shooting attack on a settler restaurant near Jericho on January 28.

The spokesperson claimed that the forces killed the wanted fighters and others after exchanging fire with them during the raid.

The Israeli army also published a photo of several confiscated firearms belonging to some of the martyrs.

Local sources, for their part, talked about the martyrdom of seven young men, including the two fighters who attempted to open fire at an Israeli restaurant over a week ago, adding that the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) seized the martyrs’ bodies.

The sources added that a wounded young man suffering from a bullet injury in the head was transferred to a local hospital, while the IOF kidnaped another wounded citizen during the raid.

One Israeli trooper was reportedly suffered a bullet injury during the events.

Video footage circulated on the internet showed local youths destroying an Israeli drone after it fell down in the camp during the raid.

Meanwhile, the IOF kidnaped senior Hamas official Shaker Amara from his home in Aqabat Jabr camp.
