Palestinian masses on Saturday laid to rest a Palestinian young man killed Friday by the live bullets of Israeli occupation forces near the Huwara checkpoint south of the West Bank city of Jenin.
The funeral procession of 26-year-old Abdullah Qalalwah headed from Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, then to Tubas Turkish Hospital, and then to his final resting place in al-Jadida village south of the West Bank of Jenin.
The death of martyr Qalalwah, a father of a one-month-year-old infant, brought the number of Palestinian citizens killed in the West Bank since the beginning of 2023 to 36 including 8 children and a woman.
Meanwhile, Palestinian citizens in al-Jadida village went on a general strike to mourn the death of martyr Qalalwah.
In a press statement on Saturday, the Palestinian local activist Intisar al-Awawdeh condemned the Israeli occupation’s repeated crimes against the Palestinian people, stressing that they aim at expelling the Palestinian people from their lands.
Palestinian youths have been escalating resistance activities in response to the repeated Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people, lands, and holy sites.
